IMPERIAL PLAZA - QUICK FACTS
More details to be released in the coming weeks!
This 21 storey building was originally designed by Alvin Mathers for the headquarters of Imperial Oil - Canada's largest oil company.
The architectural model for this building was actually the original design for Toronto's City Hall. The design was rejected for City Hall in 1955 by the mayor of the time - Nathan Phillips.
Imperial Oil, in search of a design for their Toronto headquarters, bought the plans from Alvin Mathers.
At the time, the Imperial Oil tower was one of the city's tallest buildings. From what we understand, on clear days you could see across Lake Ontario to Niagara Falls from the top floor observation deck!
In 2004, Imperial Oil announced that their headquarters was moving to Calgary, Alberta.
Stay tuned for the rest of the details on this incredible condominium conversion project!

DOWNTOWN
The DOWNTOWN TORONTO area is the mecca for culture, excitement and diversity. There are many attractions and landmarks that have given the city its immense popularity.
Esteemed architect Frank Gehry is completing his hometown’s spectacular transformation of Canada’s oldest gallery housing more than 15,000 artifacts; the venerable Art Gallery of Ontario [AGO.] Daniel Libeskind’s Lee-Chin Crystal has brought a sparkling contemporary façade to the stately old Royal Ontario Museum [ROM]. Toronto ranks third after London and New York City for its vibrant theatre and entertainment community. Visiting DOWNTOWN TORONTO for the first time? Obtain a Toronto City Pass, good for nine days, and become acquainted with our lively cosmopolitan city. Ride the elevator to the top of the CN Tower for a 360* view of the Greater Toronto Area [GTA] and a subway run to the Eaton Centre is a must.
